“Because sometimes doing absolutely nothing is the best thing to do to allow the soul to rest”
Today, I am flashing back to my blissful Los Angeles days. Days of exploring a city I’ve lived and spent time in yet never fully explored. I am also flashing back because I need a break from my current reality. The reality of ongoing systemic racism, protests, Covi-19, the upcoming presidential elections, feeling hopeless yet hopeful all in one. In a nutshell, I need a break! And while I can’t phyiscally be at The Huntington Library during these times, I can definitely allow myself to escape through photos. The perfect out of the city place you can wander for hours; taking you from Joshua Tree to the romanticism of a Japanese garden. The tranquility of The Huntington Library will have you lying on the grass, enjoying a book or doing absolutely nothing at all because sometimes doing absolutely nothing is the best thing to do to allow the soul to rest.
