I have had so so many thoughts since Covid-19, since being sheltered in place aka quarantine to some and most recently, the way the US is handling or lack of better terms, Covid-19! I really want to express my thoughts on this platform the best way possible but the fact of the matter is, I’m frustrated and pissed! I can only speak for myself when it comes to doing my part…wearing a mask and continuing to socially distance myself so much that I literally just go out for essential needs only and to take a healthy walk because my mental well being is highly important too! This past Sunday, I decided I needed a change of pace and decided to go on a socially distance hike…mask on…ALWAYS and the interesting thing is, I woke up that morning not wanting to go! I ventured off to the Ridgemont District in Oakland to a not so full trail (most people in the Bay Area either venture off to Joaquin Miller in Oakland or more popular locations like Mt. Tamalpais) and I’m grateful I did because being surrounded by nature was just the break that I needed and a reminder that I am still standing! Also a reminder that there is so much beauty in California and fingers cross, we will do our part to bend the curve.
